The grounds and specifically the pool area make it feel like a hidden oasis in an area that is less than desirable to walk around (keep reading for the positives). The room was clean, had a safe, and the bathroom was spacious, clean, and renovated. Housekeeping kept water and beer stocked in the fridge which was appreciated. The Thai breakfast was really good and there was someone in the dining area to answer questions and serve you drinks and food for most of the day. It is also within about a 5-7 minute walk to a grocery store which is very useful. It is also within walking distance of the Chalong pier where a lot of day boat trips leave out of. It is a 15 minute motorbike ride to Kata and Karon Beach with Kata having an amazing night market that I highly recommend! The lady in charge of the hotel was flexible when I was not sure if I wanted to stay and overall helpful and pleasant. I recommend this place if you want a chill, away from the hustle and bustle hotel that you can explore Phuket from. Note that the main touristy areas of Phuket can be an hour away from this location depending on traffic. For me that was a positive.
